Freeform radio: (noun) radio station programming format in which the disc jockey is given total control over what music to play, regardless of music genre or commercial interests. Sounds like music to the ears at Balcony Radio. Here’s our testament to playing whatever we want when we want: The FreeSpace episode 17. Your hosts each provide 50% of the show. You’ve been warned.
The FreeSpace
The Free Space Ep 16
Once upon a time a radio format was created to counter the screaming, puking, gutteral sounds of AM radio, heavy formatting and repetitive 2 minute songs. It was Free Form radio and it put personality into each program by giving the power to the DJ. For epsiode 16 of our tribute to said format the power is put into each of your host’s hands. We each pick half the show and mix it together in a tasty bouillabaisse. It could get weird so be ready for some crazy twists and turns. We’re very inspired.
The Free Space Ep 15
Hey there . . . why don’t you lie back and let Balcony Radio take the wheel for a couple hours. It’s time for another episode of The FreeSpace, our anti-genre show where the DJ’s pick the songs. We’ve got rock, pop, soul, r&b, country and everything high and inbetween to fill up your ear holes. Let us plug you up good. (Hey-o.)
The FreeSpace Ep 14
Hello travelers, your ears are in good hands. It’s time for The FreeSpace, our testament to the fargone days of an ancient curiosity known as the radio deejay picking his/her own music. A small 105 min batch of the best rock, pop, and soul have been hand-picked for your studio-to-ears experience. This episode pairs well with office work, daily commutes or just livin’ life.
The FreeSpace Episode 1
