Look up the stats: Babe Ruth didn’t hit a home run every time he went to bat. The Bambino hit singles and doubles, too, you know. He struck out 1,300 times. So, you know, your favorite singers and bands don’t write hit singles all day. They write tracks that only your friends at Balcony Radio remember. So, we took all the non-hits and put ’em in a show called Found Gems. For episode 17 we bounce around some classic albums, find some seriously deep tracks, and get warm like fine vinyl. Dig it. You’d be cooler if you did.
Gather round, friends and neighbors . . . ol’ Balcony Radio has come down from the hills with two dozen of the deepest cuts we could carry. In this weeks installment of Found Gems, we spit shine songs you don’t know by big stars you know by first name. No hits, please. Time to get 24 carat snobby.
When you buy the ticket you take the ride . . . to the concert where you park, go through security, find your seat, pull your snuck in paraphernalia out from your sock, and enjoy 90 minutes to 4 hours (if you’re seeing Springsteen) of live music. Balcony Radio has decided to save you the hassle.
Every star has hits, but they also miss. A lot. You have to fill the album out–and you’re not going to write a dozen bangers, no matter who you are. In our show Found Gems episode 13, we pay tribute to the best obscurities in your favorite artists’ playlists. Give some love to the tunes.
