Reggae music has done hundreds of cover versions of hundreds of American Top 40 hits. Since radio signals used to take a lot longer to travel the sounds of hit radio were very rare. So, the locals came up with a style of music to play those hits and the rest is history as they say. For episode 18 of BalconyRadio’s tribute to Reggae music, Songs From The Yard we focus on the greatest hit-making bands of all time, The Beatles, with a Ska and Reggae party of their greatest tunes. A nice companion to the recently-released final Beatles song, “Now And Then”. Let’s take it to the sand for a Beatles Reggae Barbecue!
